I am a multidisciplinary artist born in Bucharest, Romania, trained in classical drawing, textile arts, and painting at the Bucharest National University of the Arts. Over the years, my work has taken many forms — textile designer, illustrator, storyboard artist, children’s theater designer, muralist, and artistic director — but out of the box creativity has always been the thread running through everything I do.

Since moving to California in 2004, I’ve continued to build my life in art: exhibiting my work, creating handmade accessories, accepting private commissions, and sharing the craft and fascination of art with those who are also guided to it.

I work across many mediums — ink, watercolor, textiles, assemblage, mixed media — but I am most inspired by materials that carry history, texture, or mystery. Lace, thread, old fabrics, torn surfaces, symbolic fragments, and forgotten objects often find their way into my pieces. I love the process of transformation: turning something overlooked into something meaningful.

My creative process is intuitive. I rarely plan a piece from start to finish; instead, I let the materials and the moment guide me. Some works are whimsical, others visceral or contemplative — but all are expressions of emotion, memory, and the quiet worlds that live beneath the surface.

Whether in my studio or my classroom, I believe art is a form of alchemy. It asks us to pay attention, to trust our instincts, and to reshape the world — and ourselves — with the materials we have.
